Friends gather round a pub table in Ancoats, sip drinks from tall glasses, exchange work and family news, complain about the traffic on Deansgate, eat lunch from warm plates and side dishes, lift forks, open mouths, chew, swallow, smile with teeth, unfold white paper napkins, wipe mouth-corners, finish drinks, visit toilets, collect coats and bags before saying goodbye, take care, see you soon, we must do this again sometime.
